2026 VHCC Calendar Announcement

The hill climb advisory panel is pleased to announce the 2026 championship calendar and a revised class structure.

We have taken a two-step process to increase the 2026 championship to seven rounds based on feedback from our recent survey. The Ballarat Light Car Club will run a second round at Mt. Leura in May.

We are exploring the feasibility of moving to an eight-round championship in 2027.

New classes for Road registered Limited Modified Road Cars

We are pleased to announce a new class structure for road registered cars competing in the championship. Classes R1, R2 and R3 will give competitors a more appropriate class in which to compete. 

We have also reviewed the current classes and amalgamated multiple engine capacities to reduce the number of classes with minimal competitors. Our aim is to increase competition across the classes.

A1 - Formula Vee

A2 - Formula Ford 1600 or Formula Ford Duratec

A3 - Formula Libre - up to 1300cc

A4 - Formula Libre - 1301 to 2000cc
